Change default attachment size, saving folder / add blocked attachment extensions in Outlook: With Kutools for Outlook’s Attachment feature, you can increase the attachment size as your need, and change the default folder for saving attachments, at the same time, you can add some extensions that Outlook blocks. Whenever Microsoft Outlook 2010 starts up, it takes you to the Inbox folder by default. You can easily change this setting and can let Outlook launch Calendar, Tasks, or whatever you want. Click the File (Office) button and choose Options. Saving journal items to a public Journal folder. Whenever I try to save a message, it defaults to *.htm for HTML formatted messages and to *.txt for Plain Text formatted messages. I would like it by default to save to msg-files so it will keep all Outlook info and attachments.
How can I do this?
There is no way to change this default but there is another trick which by default creates msg-files.

When you open an Explorer window and browse to the location where you want to save the message to, you can drag and drop the message out of Outlook into the Explorer window. This will create a msg-file with the subject of the message as the name of the file.

Many thanks - I've got some follow on questions from your responses:1) If I do a destructive Factory Restore, will this reinstall Vista rather than Windows 7?2) I've misplaced those CD recovery discs as well.
Note: In Outlook 2010 and Outlook 2013 the default file format when using Save As is the msg-format (Unicode).
